No, today is our moving day: my husband and me are moving to the new apartment! (from here to here)
And like I said on graphics-illustrations: I’m tired!

Great! Things are really great! At this very moment I am uploading my illustrations to a new portfolio at vectorstock.com After it’s uploaded I will have to wait for the approval. All in all, this was a step No. 26 to acheiving 404039! Hoorray!
Sometimes it’s hard and tiring, in order to offer your work to stock image agencies for sale you have to:
- be innovative in your work (different, new)
- make sure that it’s created with no technical issues (for example you need to make sure there are no open paths in illustrations, or tone balance in photography, there are zillion of various reasons for stock agency to reject your work)
- prepare required formats for upload of each image (file format, dimensions, dpi …)
- upload image(s) (which can be extremely time consuming especially if you’re uploading bulks of big ones)
- then keywording, descriptions and titles (watch our for typos, see what’s most wanted …)
- then wait for approval
- If it is approved, the final question - will it sell?
For all of them who thought it’s easy-money - it’s not. Not to mention the expenses and troubles with models
For all of you who think like “lamenews” blogger from blogcatalog.com community about using other people images: “Unless you get a lot of traffic and are using a lot of their photos they’re not gonna even notice you just make sure you crop off those watermarks then you have what’s called deniability”
I want to reply with other quote from my fellow stock illustrator helix7: “It’s always interesting how people explain away less than legal and ethical activities. Download illegal music or movies and it’s “The record/film companies charge too much for CDs/DVDs.” Do drugs and you can say, “I’m not hurting anyone bu myself.” Steal an image and it’s “Just crop out the watermark and you have deniability.” If only life was so simple that we could just come up with any lame excuse for doing something and everyone around us would just say, “Oh, then it’s ok.”
And another one from my fellow stock photographer jbrizendine: “So basically it’s okay to steal as long as you site the source and don’t get caught? I wonder how they would feel if I stole their car? It would be okay. I would crop out their license plate and write on the bottom of the driver’s door “This car used to belong to Bob (or whatever their names are). Then one day, if they happened across it, I could just say “Oh, I’m sorry. Did that belong to you?” I had no idea. I’ll stop using it now.”

Last night I received nice email.
Namely, except for being a photographer I also do illustrations. I work constantly on it because work is the only thing that matters when striving to achieve quality.
So, I was saying, I received one nice email last night. From Luba who is also a photographer and works with her husband. Isn’t it nice? So, Luba, except for making excellent stock photos, she does graphic design too. Since she needed illustration to finish up her new advert design in “Bridal Magazine” (apparently No.1 in South Africa) she used my illustration bought from my portfolio.
My works are being used in various designs all the time.
But, every time when I hear back from a designer and see how my illustration or photography was applied in some design project - it really makes my day and gives a true meaning to my work.
Here is the advert (Luba sent me this ad. Thanks Luba!)

In order to move one step closer to 404 039 I just made another change: I changed the blog design! hope it will influence the number of visits. Actually, I expect to see a growth of 300% daily, starting now. (hehe)
I decided not to put images on this blog. It is simply not foreseen for that. I thought even if I want to show some image, I’d rather post a link to it. Apparently, this decision did not turn out to be a good one. At least for the time being.
Thanks to blogcatalog.com “photography” group I responded to “World Wide Photographers; Join us for free & showcase your work” and became a contributor at worldwidephotographers.blogspot.com.
However, today my blog-friend and blog-neighbor Meticulousness send me an email : “I have went through your blogs and found no clue to any photos nor a sign of your photography. I’d like to grab your attention that Worldwide Photographers is a community that is meant for “photographers from all around the word”. “
Well, ok, although you can’t tell from my blogs, I am into photography for a very long time. Here is one small photo gallery of mine: usefilm.com

Ps: In addition I attended school for applied arts department for photography and completed an education at New York Insitute of Photography … c’mon I ain’t showing off … ![]()

Blogcatalog, during last two days, became my number 5 referral. I gained quite a few friends and motivated by konvictcollin I decided to help others with the skills I can offer.
So, I did two things (actually three):
1. I promised to create a Halloween graphics for amoam which I did. Still no feedback on that one. Well, ok.
2. Second (and third), I made two buttons for konvictcollin and his yourworldgallery. I hope he likes it. And it’s all for free.
I did some pending work for my commercial client and what’s ahead of me is something that I’ve been procrastinating for a while. A client from Saudi Arabia ordered some complex photography’s with a theme: water.
Pretty busy schedule, and it’s going to get busier too
Enjoy!

Using online design system on PrintBusinessCards you can create a business card that represents you or your company - the design options available are endless. They feature thousands of images, a variety of fonts, borders, back printing… They print them on Heidelberg full color offset presses (not some cheap inkjet printers).
Take a look at my designs on PrintBusinessCards - starting today I’m a part of it!
I’m getting close to my 404039 goal!
Why should I get paid to blog for a year?
Because that will help me achieve my goal - 404039 - you know.
That is the main reason. And I want to help other people too - with my posts, suggestions and services. I will create many free graphic and other items. I’ll work for free whole year then. (If I get paid for blogging)
If you think that I should get paid to blog for a year follow the link
Oh, and donate to the Blogger Fund. I did.

Weee! Wouwah-weeh-weeh!
Finally, after more than a week my AdSense is up and running on my graphics-illustrations blog. I did my best to make sure that the ads displayed are thematically related so that my visitors don’t get exposed to some nothing-to-do with anything stuff.
I had almost no advertising on my blog so far. Only a tiny little bit of Amazon, which made me four dollars ($4) in three months. Impressive, no?
Anyways, before you lose your interest in this post I would like to take the opportunity to wish my self a great success with AdSense on my blog. I’ll keep you posted on the results.
